Volunteer Art Break Attracts a Crowd
by Joan Elder
Our second Art Break, a docent lead tour for volunteers only followed by dutch-treat lunch, attracted a large group of docents and other volunteers. The group was so large it required splitting into two separate tours led by docents Jean Noosinow and Bob Anderson.
Volunteers learn the techniques of action painting while viewing
the display of Abstract Expressionists Joan Mitchell and Lee
Krasner
Docent Jeanne Noosinow leads her group in a discussion of
Between Sky and Grass, Rhythms of a Cowboy Poem.

Going Green
Following the current trends to save and protect the environment, the Volunteers in Art Newsletter will soon be available on-line. This will not only save trees but also the NMA budget. We hope soon to completely eliminate the expense of printing and mailing, except for those few volunteers who may not have internet connection and email. If you would like to begin receiving the newsletter on-line rather than mailed to you, please contact us at bedell@nevadaart.org.
Volunteers Needed
Are you interested in serving on the volunteer board, the VIA Council? Help is needed for Arts and Flowers and for additional administration help. Contact Rosalind Bedell at bedell@nevadaart.org.
